Liptember – w7 Liptember Lipstick Review

September 29th, 2014

About Liptember:

  • Liptember is a campaign raising funds and awareness for women’s mental health during the month of September.
  • All funds raised during the month of September are donated to the CENTRE FOR WOMEN’S MENTAL HEALTH and LIFELINE.
  • Liptember sell official Liptember lipsticks throughout participating retailers with proceeds donated to the campaign.
  • Women register online and seek sponsorship from family, friends and co-workers for committing to wear the Liptember Lipstick throughout the month of September.

I know that my post comes late in the month, but hey – It is never too late to jump into the wagon for a good cause. Liptember is about having fun buying and wearing bright lipsticks – all while supporting a cause. It can’t get any real for us girls. Chemist Warehouse, here in Australia, is one of the stockists of the special edition Liptember lipsticks. One could also purchase them online – https://www.liptember.com.au/. Revlon and w7 are some of the brands that release special edition lipsticks to support Liptember. So, I bought a couple of lipsticks from w7 Cosmetics.

For those who don’t know about w7:

W7 Make Up, the inspiration of two entrepreneurial young men from West London was created in 2002. Their aim – that every woman should have access to an extensive range of high quality cosmetics at an affordable price – is now well on the way to becoming a reality.

The company has grown year on year and now W7 boasts a collection of over 500 products including: nail polish, lipsticks and glosses, eyeshadows and more mascaras than you could dream off

The lipsticks that I bought are:

Cutie – A candy pink, and

Sex Bomb – A purple-y fuchsia

The Beauty Mantra opinion

Both the lipsticks have a nice berry fragrance to them. They are buttery smooth in texture – something that is quite uncommon with drug store brands. They glide on super easily and create a satin finish on the lips. The pigmentation is good and one swipe is enough for a good colour payoff. They are not long staying and will need a reapplication after a few hours.

There are other amazing colours in the Liptember collection, including blue, yellow and orange. But they were colours that I probably wouldn’t use. I am totally satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend these lipsticks to you guys.
